Making friends can sometimes be hard. In this blog we are going to talk about making new friends.
Some people with or without intellectual disability have difficulty making new friends.
According to a study by the National Autism Society, only 19% of adults with autism have close friends.
Here are some tips on how you can make new friends or meet new people.
Join a club or organisation that you are interested in.
If you like art, visit an art gallery or an art class.
If you like sports, join a local team.
Another great way to make friends is to volunteer in your local area.
Making friends is really important for all of us.
According to the National Autism Society, people with autism who have close friends are:
