Living life as a working woman with intellectual disability

It does not matter if you have an intellectual disability or not, life as a working woman can sometimes be hard.

In this blog we will talk about how to be a successful working woman.

Everyone has different strengths, so it is best to look for a job that matches your skillset.

You can ask your chosen supports to help you find a job that matches your strengths and skills.

Some examples of what your strengths could be are:

  • Speaking with people
  • Working with animals
  • Cleaning

Have friends and family around you for support.
Having people that support you is important. You can join online forums or even support groups.

Speak up for yourself.
You know what you need and what works best for you, so don’t be afraid to speak up!

Stay positive, work hard, and don’t forget how capable you are!
Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it, and always aim to keep learning and growing

Remember, when you set your mind to something and work hard you can be successful!
